Spice & Slice | Our Story
Scratch-made Italian comfort in Mount Vernon
Spice & Slice sits on Cathedral Street in Baltimore's historic Mount Vernon cultural district, turning out hand-tossed, brick-oven pizza and Italian-American comfort food from 4 PM until 4 in the morning. Every order starts with dough made fresh in-house that day.
Dough, sauce, and the brick oven
Dough is made in-house every day, hand-tossed, and brick-oven fired with sweet-and-tangy marinara and 100% real mozzarella. From a classic Margherita to the 3-Formaggi white with EVOO garlic drizzle, every crust has real character.
Italian-American comfort, built broad
Beyond pizza: oven-baked meatballs with ricotta, Shrimp Gondola in garlic and white wine, Shrimp & Crab Alfredo over linguine, subs on fresh Italian rolls, and fire-braised grilled chicken salads. Every dish is built around generous portions and quality ingredients.
The knots
Strips of pizza dough filled with pesto, tied by hand, and baked golden in the brick oven — then brushed with butter, garlic, parsley, and parmesan and served with house marinara. They're the item guests can't stop reordering.

A table for Baltimore nights
Open 4 PM to 4 AM every day, Spice & Slice keeps the kitchen going long after Mount Vernon calls it a night. Museum-goers, theatergoers, night owls — Cathedral Street is always open.
